2022 Fun Run season kicks off in Sheffield and Leeds

Our 2022 Arena Group Fun Run season is off to an exciting start, with hundreds of children and their families coming out to take part in our recent events in Sheffield and Leeds.

There was an incredible atmosphere at both events, with lots of smiling faces and proud families cheering from the sidelines. It was great to see so many schools supporting their entrants, including Boston Spa Academy and Morley Victoria in Leeds, and schools from Limpsfield, Wharnecliffe and Wombwell in Sheffield.

Many of our participants were a bit nervous before getting started - lots of them had never taken part in a race before! However, once they got going, it was all smiles out on the route. Our Fun Series events are a great way for kids to give running a go in a fun and low-pressure way. We don’t have winners at these races and every participant gets a medal and a goody bag at the finish line.

Fun Runs are all about inclusivity, building confidence, and having a great day out with family and friends. Any child, regardless of background and ability, is encouraged to take part.

We have two more Arena Group Fun Runs coming up this year: York on 7th August and Bury on 18th September. As part of its sponsorship of these events, Arena Group is once again looking to increase participation by offering 150 free entries to local schools in York and Bury. General event entry starts at £4. 

We expect our Arena Group York and Bury Fun Runs to be just as fun and successful as our Sheffield and Leeds events – we hope to see you there!
