£7,115 raised for Nottingham Breast Cancer Research centre following Nottingham 10K

Run For All are delighted to announce the amount raised at their Asda Foundation Nottingham 10K for the University of Nottingham’s charity, Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre.

Upon entry of the Asda Foundation Nottingham 10K, a £5 donation was made for the Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre and with 1,423 entrants, the grand total the research centre will now receive is £7,115.

Launched in 2016, it was the first time the race had been held at the University of Nottingham campus and runners followed an exciting new route that stuck almost exclusively to the campus, one of the most scenic in the country, and took in Highfields Park boating lake.

Dawn Broomfield, Community Fundraising Manager at the University of Nottingham, said: “We are so grateful to Run for All for choosing us as their charity partner for the next three years. The amount they have donated to the Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre through registrations is fantastic and will make a real difference to the vital breast cancer research taking place in Nottingham.”

Run For All is a not for profit company and a legacy of the late charity fundraiser Jane Tomlinson CBE, who despite being diagnosed with an incurable cancer completed a series of incredible endurance events. Towards the end of her life, Jane would make the 150-mile roundtrip for treatment at Nottingham City Hospital.
