Dear Entrants,
We hope over the past year you have been able to keep safe, well and active. Whether you’ve been running in lockdown or walking we know many of you have been exploring your local surroundings and finding new routes for training.
The past year has been uncertain for so many, for so many different reasons but it appears light is on the horizon and we may one day soon be able to meet on the start line and congratulate each other as you cross the finish line and receive that overdue medal!
Over the past year you have shown great patience and support of Run For All and we know you are eager to know what is happening with your event entries and so we wanted to update you on our plans and the steps we are taking.
The UK Government’s recent road map out of lockdown has provided hope when we all needed it and has outlined when we can hope events such as ours will be able to return.
Whilst we remain optimistic we also need to measured and realistic in our approach. Like you, we hope that each milestone of the lockdown easing is met in the coming months but it’s not guaranteed and therefore plans need to put in place accordingly. Social distancing is also due to be reviewed by the Government in May as part of the road map and we need to consider how this will impact events.
For each of our events we work closely with the local authorities and so over the coming weeks, as we have in the past year, we will work in partnership to confirm when events can take place and what alterations will be required due to UK Government and UKA guidelines.
We don’t want to promise something to entrants we can’t deliver and so we are writing to you today to reassure you that we are working on plans to ensure events can return safely. We know the wait can be difficult but we can assure you, we are doing everything we can to pull all the elements together and as soon as we have confirmed events dates to share we will be in touch with you via email.
All entries from 2020 have automatically been moved to 2021 and as soon as events dates are confirmed we will write to you individually per event to confirm the date and again your entry will automatically be moved to the new date.
For events that have already been confirmed in 2021, we will write to entrants as promised two months prior, to confirm everything is going ahead as planned and to share details of what to expect on event day in accordance with any Government guidelines.
We are sorry we can’t confirm all these dates with you today but we want you to know that we are working away in the background and our passionate and dedicated team will do everything we can to make these events happen. We know first hand, the affect these events can have on charities and individuals health and wellbeing and so we know the importance of their return.
If you have entries into the Derby Half Marathon or City of Lincoln 10K please be advised an email update regarding these events will be sent to you no later than the 27th April. Look out for an update shortly.
As soon as we have any further event updates we will be in touch via email and will be issuing an update on our website. Until then, we would ask you to please be patient and be assured we are as keen as you to be back on the start line.
In the meantime, stay active and healthy.
All the best
The Run For All Team
