The main highlight of the city’s running calendar, there was a celebratory atmosphere, with thousands of spectators lining the streets to cheer on participants of all ages and abilities.
A moment of applause was held at the start of the race in honour of Rugby League legend and dear friend of Run For All, Rob Burrow CBE, who sadly passed away last Sunday.
Rob was diagnosed with MND in December 2019, two years after retiring from an incredible seventeen-year career in rugby league with Leeds Rhinos. Inspiring millions of people across the world, Rob, alongside his family took the decision to open their doors to show the impact of the disease and raise awareness and funds for the MND community. A beacon of hope for many, Rob was a shining light, and his legacy is one of courage and bravery.

Starting at 09:30 on Alfred Gelder Street, the 10K route took in several of the city’s most popular and iconic landmarks, including the Humber Dock Marina, the award-winning aquarium and Hull Minster.
Whilst charity fundraising was at the heart of today, there were also competitive elite races involving some of the region’s leading athletes in the 10K distance.
In the men’s race, Samuel Roberts triumphed with a time of 00:30:59. The previous Hull 10K course record was set in 2022 by Jo Maddick who clocked a time of 00:31:23.

Kalem Bennett took part in the men's elite wheelchair race and clocked first place in a time of 00:46:02.
But the real winners were local charities, who will benefit from the efforts of the many people who took part for good causes, raising tens of thousands of pounds in the process and making a vital difference.
Participants have been encouraged to fundraise for a chosen charity or for one of the events partner charities; Special Stars Foundation, Aim Higher, Hull 4 Heroes, Ara Fest, Hull Women’s Aid, Hull Age UK, Dove House Hospice, Tigers Trust, Hull FC Foundation and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.

About Run for All
Run For All is part of Jane Tomlinson CBE’s lasting legacy. Jane raised £1.85m for children’s and cancer charities before her untimely death from cancer aged just 43 in 2007. She made headlines across the world by competing in a series of epic endurance challenges from the London Marathon, Ironman and triathlon competitions, to a 4,200 mile cycle ride across the width of the USA – despite being diagnosed with incurable cancer. Her family continue to raise funds in her name, and through the Jane Tomlinson Appeal and Run For All, more than £10m has now been raised for charities.
Along with the Hull 10K, Run For All’s stable of events includes successful events in Leeds, Sheffield, York, King’s Lynn, Leicester, Bury and Middlesbrough. As well as the Leeds Half Marathon, Derbion Ramathon, Coventry Half Marathon, Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon, Sheffield Half Marathon, Yorkshire Marathon and the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon.
