Leading UK based building merchant, MKM has built on its longstanding support of the Hull Running Festival by once again becoming the title sponsor of this year’s Hull 10K Corporate Challenge and Hull Half Marathon Team Challenge.
Enthusiastic fundraisers, club and fun runners will take to the streets of Hull on Sunday 12th June for the Hull Half Marathon and Hull 10K as well as the MKM Hull 10K Corporate Challenge and MKM Hull Half Marathon Team Challenge; all of which help to raise thousands of pounds for local and national causes.
The MKM Hull 10K Corporate and MKM Hull Half Marathon Team Challenge’s will both sit alongside the main events of the day; seeing teams of colleagues or friends battle it out to be crowned Corporate Challenge Champions or Team Challenge Champions. As part of this runners can choose to fundraise for a charity of choice, or use the events as a chance to bring their team together in a shared challenge.
MKM’s continued support for the Hull 10K Corporate Challenge and Hull Half Marathon follows years of successful sponsorship of the event by the company, and forms a vital part of MKM’s community focused values and its commitment to the local community.

Neil Croxson, Chief Financial Officer at MKM said “We are proud to once again be sponsoring the corporate team challenge element of the Hull 10k and half marathon this June. The event is an important date for the city’s diary and one MKM, as a leading Hull business, looks forward to each year. It’s a fantastic opportunity to raise money for a host of worthwhile causes.
"As a team we are looking forward to joining in, whether for a personal best or simply enjoying the atmosphere on the day, and would encourage anyone considering the run to sign up."
Siobhan Curtis, Head of Commercial at Run for All added, “MKM is a longstanding sponsor of the Hull 10K Corporate Challenge and Hull Half Marathon Team Challenge so we are delighted to announce MKM’s continued support for both events.
“The challenges are good fun and a great way of encouraging team spirit, as well as promoting a bit of friendly rivalry, and we are hugely appreciative of MKM’s support this 2022 season.”
The MKM Hull 10K Corporate Challenge and MKM Hull Half Marathon Team Challenge are both a race within a race, seeing teams of colleagues battle it out to be crowned the champions. Both challenges run alongside the main Hull 10K and Hull Half Marathon, but rather than competing as individuals, the challenge is to work collectively to cross the line in the quickest combined time.
Teams also get extra perks, including personalised team t-shirts to wear on race day, team prizes and, for the Hull 10K Corporate Challenge, race day hospitality.
Organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, the Hull Running Festival forms part of the Run For All series of runs which, along with Hull, includes events in Sheffield, Bury, Leeds, York, Derby, Nottingham, King’s Lynn, Ipswich, Bury, Burnley and Middlesbrough.
