PWC stepped out of the office and into the streets of Sheffield on Sunday 22nd September, and stormed their way to victory coming first place in the Sheffield 10K Corporate Challenge.
Over 26 teams, consisting of over 250 runners, competed in the challenge in the hope that their first three finishers could clock the fastest average time to claim corporate challenge victory.
In a hotly-contested challenge, PWC clocked an impressive average time of 42:40 to take first place. Durham Duplex Ltd came in second place with an average time of 43:26 and Martin Evans Associates Ltd celebrated third place with an average time of 45:39.
The fastest male was Adam Lavelle from Eastwood & Partners. Adam clocked a remarkable time of 38:37. Olivia Abell, representing Nikken World romped home as the fastest female. Rachel clocked an equally impressive time of 47:01.
Georgia Featherstone, Sponsorship & Corporate Assistant at the event organiser, Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, said: “This year’s Sheffield 10K was one full of success and smiles. Over 250 runners took part and every one of them did themselves proud.
“Our corporate challenges are always a great way to generate some fun and friendly rivalry between local organisations, businesses and firms. They are a fantastic team building opportunity, and it was wonderful so see such a range of organisations coming together to compete.

The Sheffield 10K Corporate Challenge forms part of the legacy of the late Jane Tomlinson who raised £1.85m for charity by tackling a series of gruelling endurance challenges - despite battling cancer. With the funds raised, Jane formed the not-for-profit organisation, Run For All, that organise charity road runs across the UK as part of the Asda Foundation Series.
Run For All’s final team challenge of the 2019 season is the Asda Foundation Yorkshire Marathon Corporate Relay on Sunday 20th October.
