This is our new motto and one you will see across all our channels over the coming weeks. It’s a tough time for so many at present and the virus is affecting us all in one way or another.
We want to thank those who have taken the time to send emails or post on social offering your support of Run For All and your fellow runners. It means a lot.
The events community is an incredibly special one and whilst we can’t train together, or line up on the start line together this month or next, it’s great to see you sharing memories and offering training advice to one other.
We’ve heard from entrants who are scared, struggling and feeling alone and we want to ask you the Run For All community to take the time out and to continue to connect with one another.
Each week will we post #wewillbeback messages and we ask you to join us. Tell us what you are most looking forward to, what are your goals, what are your motivations and what makes event day so special for you.
By now, all entrants of events that were due to take place between now and July, have been emailed to advise of event postponements and new event dates. But we know, there are still a number of you awaiting an update on the Leeds Half Marathon as well as the Leeds and the York 10Ks.
We want to reassure you, that currently both the Leeds 10K and York 10K are still scheduled to go ahead as planned. We are working on contingency dates should the outlook of the virus not improve and should we need to change the date, you the entrants, will be the first to be informed via email.
With regards the Leeds Half Marathon we are having some very positive conversations with Leeds City Council and should be in a position to be able to update you all very soon. Watch this space.
Once again we’d like to thank you for continuing to support our events. The charities who benefit from this events need you now more than ever. Fundraising at present is down over 40% year on year so if you can take part and fundraise please do. Whichever charity you choose to support the difference you can make to them right now is immeasurable.
Look after yourselves and those closest to you and we look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on the start line later this year.
All the best
