Aileen's Leeds 10K fundraiser for the MND Association

Aileen will be taking on the Leeds 10K tomorrow in memory of close friend, Ann who has sadly passed away from Motor Neurone Disease. Aileen will also be running to raise funds for the MND Association.

“I first signed up to the 10k as I had a close family friend, Ann, who had recently been diagnosed with MND. I grew up with her Children so knew her well. She was amazing. She lived in Edinburgh and I had moved to Leeds. This was the best way I felt to show my support. It was also for Rob Burrow and in Memory of Doddie Weir.

Ann is pictured below. 

"Sadly, in the time I've been training, all three have died and so I now run in their memory.

When I struggle during the race, I will remember their tenancy and also remember I signed up for this challenge, they did not sign up to theirs.”
