We are encouraging all of our City of Lincoln 10K runners to fundraise for their own charity of choice or one of the event’s partner charities.
However, it is recognized that each runner will have their own reason or goal for taking part.
This year's partner charities include the following charities.
Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance
The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is one of the UK’s leading Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) Charities, funded purely by the generosity of people like you! They are not part of the NHS and not funded by the Government.
At a time when every second counts, the arrival of their iconic yellow helicopter really can mean the difference between life and death.
They transport the equivalent of an A&E department to people suffering from the most serious of illnesses and devastating injuries, providing the best possible treatment as quickly as possible.
"Last year Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance achieved some incredible milestones all while responding to 1,620 incidents, over 130 more incidents than in 2021. From becoming fully registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to increased night flying, from carrying more blood on board to being despatched to more incidents than ever, the charity has continued to develop and deliver its life-saving service.
LNAA teams provide the highest levels of critical care for the region, carrying out numerous pre-hospital interventions and our Doctor, Paramedic and Pilot teams take patients to multiple different hospitals in and beyond the region. None of this would be possible without the support of people like yourself. Thank you so much for choosing to support our charity!"

Sophie's Journey
Sophie’s Journey was set up in memory of, Sophie Robinson from Lincoln, who sadly passed away in January 2016, aged 12, after a two-year battle with medulloblastoma – an aggressive tumour in her brain.
Using two dedicated caravans at Golden Sands Holiday Park in Mablethorpe, the charity provides free holidays to Lincolnshire children living with cancer and their families.
The first caravan was opened in March 2017 and features a twin bedroom, double bedroom, plus an open plan living/kitchen area and family bathroom, while our second caravan is fully adapted for children who have extra mobility needs owing to their treatment.
The charity also exists to continue Sophie’s efforts to provide comfort and support to children enduring cancer treatment via a dedicated page on Facebook. This was created after Sophie had undergone brain surgery and was due to begin treatment; she wanted to understand what to expect from it but couldn’t find any sources on the internet that answered her questions.
"Thank you to everyone that has chosen to Support Sophies Journey.
The money raised will help us to continue to provide free holidays to children with cancer in Lincolnshire, This will allow the families to create beautiful memories by the sea."

RSPA Lincolnshire Mid and Lincoln Branch
RSPA Lincolnshire Mid and Lincoln Brand is committed to preventing cruelty and promoting kindness to animals. The branch rehabilitates and re-homes animals rescued by our Inspectors, as well as taking in animals from members of the public who can no longer care for them. The branch also promotes responsible pet ownership, by shining the spotlight on neutering and microchipping, as well as other important welfare points.
“We are so grateful to all our runners helping raise money for RSPCA Lincolnshire Mid and Lincoln; at the moment we have several animals going through significant veterinary treatment and by raising money for our branch, you are directly helping all the animals in our care”

The Jane Tomlinson Appeal helps children to be happier and healthier and improves the lives of people living with cancer. The late Jane Tomlinson CBE, was diagnosed with incurable cancer in August 2000 and given just six months to live.
Over the next seven years, as she defied her diagnosis, Jane went on to achieve what many people might struggle to in a lifetime - surmounting increasingly difficult challenges, capturing the attention of people across the world, and raising over £1.85m for charity.
Jane founded what was to become her lasting legacy, the Jane Tomlinson Appeal. To date, through the Appeal and its Run For All events, over £10m has now been raised.
