Lucy will take on the Leicester 10K for her mum

On Sunday 2^nd March, Lucy Shuttleworth will be taking on the Leicester 10K.

Lucy set herself a challenge for 2025. To complete 12 races, in 12 months for 1 charity. She will be completing each race with Jodie.

They will be completing an event every month this year to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

Breast Cancer Now are here for anyone who is affected by breast cancer. Researchers are working across the UK and Ireland to create a world where the words ‘breast cancer’ aren’t met with fear. They provide care and support when needed the most and build a brighter future for everyone affected.

Breast Cancer Now is especially personal to Lucy. Her mum is currently battling stage four secondary breast cancer, a diagnosis for which there is sadly no cure. Breast Cancer Now has been a pillar of support for Lucy’s mum and many others. She has seen first-hand the incredible work they do. Lucy said, “Throughout her fight, Breast Cancer Now has provided her with invaluable support.” They have offered Lucy’s mum with forums and resources where she can connect with others going through the same.

Lucy wants to give back to the amazing charity. Every penny that Lucy and Jodie fundraise at each event will be going straight to the Breast Cancer Now charity.

Every step that they run will be for her mum.
