Robin's fundraiser for the British Liver Trust

Meet Robin, one of our inspirational runners taking on the Coventry Half Marathon on Sunday 28^th April.

A cause very close to her heart, Robin will be taking on her first half marathon as she looks to raise funds for the British Liver Trust. Running in memory of her stepdad Gary, we caught up with Robin ahead of race day.

"I would like to raise some money for the British Liver Trust in Gary's name (my stepdad) to help support the charity in helping other families with loved ones awaiting dialysis and hopefully assist in providing a glimmer of hope. Something I wish Gary could have had.

Gary was a very decent man who would help anyone in need for example he fostered many children in a bid to give them a better start in life. Gary took on four children and fathered them as if they were his own (me and my 3 brothers). I feel like if I can give back something to Gary in a way he would approve of this would be it. Like Gary helping all those people if could be anywhere near to that by raising money by raising awareness and someone benefits from it I'd be happy!!"
