Toby is taking on the Sheffield Mutual Sheffield Half Marathon for Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation

This is Toby.

He is running the Sheffield Mutual Sheffield Half Marathon this year raising money for the Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation.

The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation (LCTF) is a charity committed to providing support for people affected by Vasculitis. Their main focus is on providing support for people who have vasculitis – whether they are newly diagnosed, or living with the condition.

Toby said, “I feel it’s important to raise awareness about this auto-immune illness, as I knew absolutely nothing about it.” That was until he met his girlfriend Saffie Adams, who has vasculitis.

Vasculitis is a condition where the boy’s immune system mistakenly attacks blood vessels causing inflammation and potentially damaging them, which can restrict blood flow and damage organs and tissue.

He mentioned that it is awful what she has already been through and what she still must go through. This has made him determined to get the training in and to keep running to raise as much awareness as he can.
