Usingh Bolt's fundraising mission for Samaritan's

Usingh Bolt, a familiar and friendly face at Run For All events, will be joining us on the start line at the Coventry Half Marathon. 

As a listening volunteer at his local branch, Usingh will be running the half marathon for Samaritans. The challenge will be part of his fundraising mission for the charity, including several other running events across the country.

The charity means a lot to Usingh. In 2024 he completed 4 ultra-marathons as part of team ‘Samarathon’ and in July 2021 he ran 31 marathons in 31 days.

A phenomenal effort, Usingh is gearing up for his 2024 fundraising challenges.

He tells us more below.

Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans vision is that fewer people die by suicide. They believe that suicide is preventable.

Samaritans is here for anyone struggling to cope day or night, 365 days a year. They act to prevent people reaching crisis point, helping people find ways to cope and learn the skills to be there for others. They campaign to make suicide prevention a priority.

A charity I support heavily, I am a listening volunteer at my local branch so I am delighted to be able to run and fundraise for them. It will be my fifth time running the Coventry Half Marathon and my first time since 2019 when I set my current PB for a half. I might even have a go at breaking it even if it is a week after I run a marathon!
