The Bury Mini and Junior Run is a great way to get active this year!

Please note that all children aged between 3 & 8 must run with a parent or guardian.
The Bury Mini and Junior is open to runners aged three and up, of all backgrounds and abilities, and is a fantastic day out for all the family.
We encourage children of all backgrounds and abilities to take part in the Mini and Junior run, including those with disabilities and any other special considerations. Please get in touch so we can help you and them have the best experience.
All finishers will be rewarded with a goody bag and that all-important medal to show off to friends!
Important entry information.
Registering a young runner aged between 3 and 8 years old:
- The adult running must put another adults emergency contact details when asked during the registration process. Please do not enter your own information here.
Registering a young runner aged between 9 and 14 years old:
- Entries must be completed by a parent/guardian aged 18 years or over on behalf of the child.
- The adult must log in to their own account when registering their child. If you do not have an account, you can create one.
Enter with a peace of mind

For a small fee, this will give you insurance should you be unable to take part in the event. You can cancel your entry and receive a refund on your entry fee up to 48 hours before the event.
Important Note
Do not under any circumstances allow anybody else to run with a race number under your name.
Amongst other issues, this can create major problems for the medical team should they need to treat unknown runners. Anyone found to have done this will be disqualified.

We have 100 free entries to give away to schools and registered community groups in Bury.
Entries will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so don’t miss your chance for your group to get involved.

Please note that this event is a race number collection-only event.
You will be able to collect your race number from the Race Office on event day. The Race Office will be located in the Event Village on Parsons Lane Car Park and will be open from 10:00.

Warm Up
All runners are asked to assemble on the start line at 11.35am so that they can take part in a warm-up before they get going.
At the Start and Finish
Please note that the start and finish line is outside the Rock Shopping Centre, Bury.
The Junior race starts at 11:45, followed by the Mini race at 11:48.
Once crossing the finish line, all mini and juniors are asked to collect their goodies including that all-important medal and a selection of goodies.
Participants will then be directed to the collection point by our team of friendly volunteers where they'll be able to meet up with their parents or guardians
Baggage
There isn’t a baggage store for this event so participants are asked to leave their bags and any extra clothes with family and friends.
Family support?
Please may all supporters head down to the start and finish line so that they can watch all participants fly by!
Left Clothing
Please note that any clothing left anywhere on the start line will be donated to charity.
Photos
Smile! The Marathon Photos team will be on course throughout the event to snap your picture.
Photographs can be purchased at marathonphotoslive.com. Should you not wish for your photo to be used in this way, please e-mail info@runforall.com prior to race day.
Keeping Bury green
We are committed to keeping Bury green and we understand the importance of doing our bit for the environment. Bins will be provided across the event site and we urge people to use the facilities provided.

Bury is 8 miles from Manchester city centre with direct links to and from the M60 and M66 (Take J2 to Bury) providing easy access to the rest of Greater Manchester and the North West.

Please be aware that Parsons Lane Car Park will be hosting the event village and will therefore be closed on both Saturday and Sunday of event weekend. Please also avoid parking in private car parks with customer and time restrictions.

Frequent, direct trains carry visitors into Manchester. From there, take one of the frequent Metrolink trams (approx. 30 mins) to the Interchange in Bury town centre. For more information go to www.nationalrail.co.uk or call 08457 48 49 50.
Victoria station - welding works are taking place on 15 and 29 September: Please note that there will be work over these two Sundays will begin at 02:00 and finish at 10:00, meaning Metrolink services will not pass through Victoria until after 10:00 on these days.
