Run For All has changed a lot since it first began in 2006. What was first organised by the Tomlinson family, friends and volunteers has now grown into one of the UK's biggest not-for profit events company.
Whilst the size and number of events has grown the ethos behind Run For All is very much remains the same. We want to ensure our events are truly accessible for all and provide a fundraising vehicle for as many charities as possible.

Strategic Priorities for This Role:
- Raise the Profile of the Charity and Core Pillars: Promote and raise awareness of our charity’s key initiatives, including our support of M2, the Owls Bereavement Service, Kinesio taping research and training, and research into the early detection of breast cancer.
- Support Fundraising Development: Increase fundraising income through our flagship events within the Run For All events portfolio.
- Manage Grant Giving Programme: Establish, develop, and manage the charity’s grant-giving programme, ensuring its growth and impact on the communities and causes we support.
Role Overview:
As Project Manager, you will play a critical role in helping to achieve the strategic priorities of the Appeal. You will oversee and manage charity projects that align with our core mission, ensuring they raise awareness, support fundraising efforts, and drive forward key research initiatives. This position requires an excellent communicator, organised leader, and someone with a genuine passion for charitable work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Manage Projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of charity projects related to the strategic priorities, including fundraising events and awareness campaigns.
- Raise Awareness & Profile: Develop and implement strategies to increase the visibility of the charity’s key pillars, such as our support for M2, the Owls Bereavement Service, and Kinesio taping research.
- Fundraising Development: Manage and grow the Run For All events portfolio to maximise fundraising income, ensuring successful execution of all fundraising initiatives.
- Grant Giving Programme: Develop and manage the charity’s grant-giving programme, including identifying potential grantees, coordinating the application process, and ensuring the impact of grants is tracked and reported.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate sponsors, donors, volunteers, and charity partners to support fundraising and program initiatives.
- Monitor & Evaluate Impact: Track the success of initiatives and campaigns, measuring against KPIs, and report results to key stakeholders.
- Manage Budgets & Resources: Ensure projects and events are delivered within budget and timeline constraints, managing resources effectively.
- Communications & Public Relations: Oversee communications regarding the charity’s strategic initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging across internal and external channels.

Run For All is one of the UK’s biggest not-for-profit sporting event companies, staging a large number of high-profile mass participation events including the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, York 10K, Leeds 10K, Sheffield Half Marathon and The Yorkshire Marathon in the North of England to Leicester 10K, Nottingham 10K, Coventry Half Marathon and Derby Half Marathon in the Midlands. Your role on the Event Support Team will directly contribute to Run For All’s purpose, which is to provide a fundraising vehicle for a vast amount of local and national charities through its events programme. What will you be doing?
- Assisting the execution of the Run For All events on Event Day
- Liasing and Communicating with other team members in a clear and timely manner to promote strong team work
- Supporting the Manager in your area and being their first point of call when needed
- Reviewing Key Event documentation ahead of the weekend to have a clear and confident understandings of the role expected on the day
- Managing and supporting a team of volunteers to provide them with a positive and memorable event experience
- Remaining professional throughout the day and promoting Run For All’s philosophy of high-quality, great fun events for absolutely all abilities.

What will you be doing?
- Route Marshal - The route marshal is a fantastic way to see the event and help create an electric atmosphere around the route, from lead runner to backmarker!
- Drink Station Marshal - Eventeers will be ready for the first runner and the last with that all-important drink of water whilst also shouting words of motivation and support.
- Baggage Marshal - Our Baggage Eventeers will greet participants both pre and post event as they drop off and collect their belongings at the Baggage Store.
- Finish Processing Marshal - Eventeers will be ready with that all-important medal, goody-bag and water to hand to every participant as they finish their race with a well-deserved congratulations. Eventeers here will also help channel participants into the ‘T-Shirt Collection’ and ‘No T-Shirt Collection’ based on their bib so is a great role to be vocal with!
- Race Office Marshal - Participants will come here to collect their Race Numbers pre-event where our Eventeers will be on hand to assist and give them a warm welcome and calm the pre-race nerves. This is a customer facing role so our Eventeers need to be friendly, approachable and chatty!
