Whilst the size and number of events has grown the ethos behind Run For All is very much remains the same. We want to ensure our events are truly accessible for all and provide a fundraising vehicle for as many charities as possible.

Run For All are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join the team in Leeds. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and help lead an expanding marketing and communications team.
Run For All is one of the UK’s biggest not-for-profit sporting event companies, staging a large number of high-profile mass participation events including the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, York 10K, Leeds 10K, Sheffield Half Marathon and The Yorkshire Marathon.
As Digital Marketing Manager, you will support the Insights Manager and Communications Manager to determine the annual sales and digital marketing plan and budget, through forecasting and developing sales quotas and income generation, analysing trends and results, plus establishing pricing strategies and monitoring competitors.
You will have a great understanding of what motivates people and be able to translate that knowledge into a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy. You will be responsible for developing and implementing creative, exciting and engaging campaigns, using a variety of digital channels including email marketing, SEO, PPC and social media.
A fresh-thinker with at least three years’ relevant experience, you will also be skilled in reporting and analysing the success of your strategies and campaigns, ensuring high levels of return on investment.

With charity at our core, we are looking to employ someone who understands the unique ethos of and aims of our organisation. Applicants should be enthusiastic and hardworking, be flexible and have a positive attitude and a good sense of humour. You will need to own a car and have a full clean driving licence to be considered for this position. You should expect to work a number of weekends and occasionally, out of hours, especially throughout the event season. (March to October).
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating an annual marketing plan to meet our growth ambitions. Channels will include (but not limited to), web, email, content marketing and social media
- Manage the digital marketing budget
- Support the Insights Manager and Communications Manager by devising and implementing the sales strategy, achieving ROI targets
- Monitor and report on market trends and competitor developments and innovations
- Email - create email marketing strategies to build relationships with entrants, whilst attracting new customers
- Content Marketing – work with the Marketing Executive to create and manage editorial calendar (including blog, white papers, guides, checklists etc.); create strategy around leveraging our content across email, social media and other distribution channels; manage internal and external writers; contribute written content; create multi-media content e.g. video, infographics etc.
- Develop and maximise third party relationships to deliver on-brand objectives and strategies
- Identify and drive new income opportunities and potential partnerships
- Be a brand guardian for Run For All and associated brands
- Devising strategies to drive online traffic to the company website
- Tracking conversion rates and making improvements to the website
- Work with the Insights Manager and Communications Manager to develop and manage digital marketing campaigns
- Utilising a range of techniques including paid search, SEO and PPC
- Overseeing the social media strategy for the company. Managing online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness
- Improving the usability, design, content and conversion of the company website
- Responsibility for planning and budgetary control of digital marketing
- Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing
Essential Requirements:
- 3+ years minimum proven experience
- Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice
- Experience in and strong understanding of ecommerce, SEO, PPC, email marketing and social media
- Proficiency in marketing software and SEO tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, Events or similar
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- A self- starter attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. An agency background is desirable
- A data-driven and “test and learn” mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and optimisation.
Salary and benefits:
The salary for this post is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus contribution towards a personal pension following completion of a successful probationary period. Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year excluding public holidays.Normal working hours are Monday to Friday. Additional evening and weekend work will be required, particularly in the run up to and during the event season.
